USALS is by far easier to use... that's what I use. You just find the southern satellite in your receiver, tune in a good strong tp, and then once you tweak signal on that one bird, all the others should be easy to find just by changing to those satellites in the receiver and telling it to turn usals on and move there. Once you find the southern most satellite with the motor, the rest is easy. Just be sure you have the right angle on the motor and mount, the right port on the switch picked, and the right tp picked when looking at first. Finding the first satellite is a big hassle, but after that it's a piece of cake.
In USALS you just give the reciever your longitude, lattitude, and the degrees west or east that the satellite is that you are tuning in to. Assuming you have zero set at the southern bird off you go...
JUST BE CAREFUL when setting up the first bird to MAKE SURE you do not change the degrees on the motor before you find your first satellite. Actually, you should probably do like I did and set up the coax to go straight to the lnb at first and bypass the motor all the way til you get the southern bird tuned in. Otherwise, if you hit the wrong button on the reciver you could end up accidentally moving the motor to another degree other than zero which will throw off your arc.
