Most hyped single-season teams

2001-02 Red Wings- that was the year they signed Hull, Hasek, and Robitaille in the off-season to go along with a nucleus of Yzerman, Fedorov, Lidstrom, Shanahan.

They were said to have nine future Hockey Hall of Famers.

Don't forget, we can also thank the Fab-Five for getting those shorty-shorts out of the game!

Their recruiting had NCAA hype, not NBA. Speaking of which, are people aware Juwan Howard is the only one still playing (in Portland)?

Sandra

So we blame Michigan for the 20" SHORTS we see everywhere.
Thanks alot, Shorts are no longer shorts for me.......

Soon I will be calling them jeans again.

I would feel REALLY bad if someday I have to go to the alteration shop to get my Shorts shortened. :)

I think the Wings also WON with that cast of players.

Yup, they won it all that year, so I don't know how you can call them over hyped.
