M MuDvAyNe SatelliteGuys Family Mar 29, 2008 68 0 May 7, 2008 #5 The government stepped in when Extra Innings was about to become a Direct TV exclusive I believe. I remember John Kerry making a big deal because he was a Red Sox fan and didn't have / want Direct TV. Found the link http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2826280 Direct TV signed a 7 year deal, but Cable was able to keep the rights to have Extra innings. Last edited: May 7, 2008
