MLB network

need mlb network now on Dish Network

The time is now for Dish Network to wake up and add MLN Network.

My friend has it, and the programming is outstanding. The original programming about the history and events of the game is outstanding. The coverage they offered during the playoffs last year was top notch.

I personnally am jealous and upset that us Dish Network customers dont have this channel yet. Please add it for this season.

When Charlie sells Dish one of these days

Part ownership is being dropped. New deals for MLB network will not require dish to buy in. Now mayby for Extra innings package a buy in is still required. MLB Network now trying to increase viewers. This will be hard to do without Dish Network on board. I believe we will know something by middle of March folks.

Even without Extra Innings, MLB Network would be nice. From what I have heard their coverage is great. I'm not sure if I would abandon Baseball Tonight but it would be nice (as another poster said) for the West Coast games or match-ups I would rather see over my local game. Adding DISH would certainly increase viewers.

I figure this will eventually happen, Dish is not stupid, Baseball is huge in America.

For all of us Dish customer who want the MLB Network channel, we should keep flooding Dish with requests.

It is ridiculous they have not added the channel yet. Dish is just letting us down if they don't add the channel for this season.

write an email to ceo@dishnetwork.com

As long as people are writing, please tell them to add Versus in a less expensive tier also. ;) Anyone who can't afford the America's Top 250 tier (Which, let's face it, isn't for average tv watchers), is pretty much locked out from the NHL playoffs, and a lot of key exclusive regular season games (Including some from the local team, typically).

If you are like me - an upset Dish Network customer, since they still don't carry the MLB NETWORK channel, you should write an email to Dish

lets make sure we have our voice heard.
We want the channel for this season.

This years "where is mlb" thread is already up, you really didn't need to go get a year old thread to revive it...
with that said, the channel has been on for at least two years now. If you are that upset that Dish doesn't have (never has had) this channel, why haven't you left yet? You can't still be in contract with them and other providers out there do carry the channel...

I am ordering MLB on my PS3 for first time this year ($150-) ... very excited!!

It is $120, not $150. The basic package is $100

I too ordered it and canceled EI on DirecTV. I have been watching a lot of last year's and classic games.

40 years ago you would have been right.
And he still is. No sport brings in more revenue, more TOTAL fans, and more TOTAL viewership than baseball. The highest salaries are in baseball, the total largest TV and radio revenue is in baseball, and average viewership is #2. In addition, it has the most popular all star game. To say it is no longer huge in America is not true at all.

We can also add that attendance now is much much much higher than it was 40 years ago

Close, but no cigar, especially when it comes to TV contract revenue.
