Welcome to the Site !I have a sylvania tv model set 4324, but no tv remote.. exactly how do I set it up with my directtv remote? also what wires need to be plugged in where (on the tv and directtv box)?
Welcome to the Site !
As for the D* equipment, is it currently active ?
Personally, I would set it up using an HDMI connection between the TV and the HDMI Output on the back of the recvr, but there are other ways as well, like running thru your A?V recvr.
What Directv recvr are you using (model).

It looks like the TV the OP has is an old CRT that doesn't even have composite connectors. Hooking up a recent model DirecTV receiver will not be easy and will require a modulator.
Yes D* equipment is active. The model is C41-500. I appreciate any specific info.Welcome to the Site !

New tv not an option. This actual tv was in another room and has been hooked up successfully to directtv the last 4+ months. I moved it because I did buy a new tv last week. I don't mind buying the adapter but there has to be a way to make this happen. Does my main downstairs box have different options than the extra one in my bedroom? You will need a special plug in adapter that will provide composite video and audio from the DirecTV Genie mini. Then you feed that into a channel 3/4 modulator and wire that to your TV's coax input.
Or you can buy a new TV with HDMI.
The main box downstairs must be a Genie, ,thats the box that everything happens in, the other box is basically a slave.New tv not an option.
