Missing HD channels from 61.5

I have a super dish 110/119 and a separate dish 500 at 61.5 and some HD is missing. Some had moved into the 4000's and more are missing from there now. Example comedy central is only in sd on 107 no where else.

Are they still migrating channels away from 61.5 if so what can i do. Can the dish 500 be re-aimed by me to 72.5 and would that solve it. Or is there a better remedy. I am not sure what the new sats are.

When the tech did my HD 61.5 he went there instead of 129? because he didn't wanna go on the 2nd story where the other dish is an there is a clear line of sight so from the ground/1st floor the 61 is visible.

Thanks for any suggestions.

what locals do you get?

But DIsh has moved lots of HD from 61.5 to 72. Now they still have HD on 61.5 too. 129W has all the HD so you could swing the 61.5 dish over to 129 and be done with it. But it really depends on what locals you get. Some locals are on 61.5 which requires an Eastern Arc Dish (61.5/72/77).

My locals are on 110 for SD and 129 for HD. I have OTA so not too worried about locals. I wish i could swing the 61.5 to 129 but from where it located i have tree issues. Hence why the tech wouldn't put it there the first time. I know i could get 129 from the peak where the 110/119 is but I don't climb that high any more , seep roof.

You should be on a full arc setup (western arc from what it sounds like). With the mixed arc setup, you will be missing HD channels since they are moving off of the 61.5 satellite.

If you PM your phone number or account number, I can set up an appointment to see about getting the proper dish installed

I have the same setup and I was missing ESPN2 HD and FoxNewsHD. Called in, they set me up for a free dish upgrade.

you shouldnt need 110 then. In those markets like yours (no HD locals available and SD is on 119) would be a EA dish with 119 wing dish

I had the 110/119 set up befor I upgraded to hd. When I first upgraded to hd I got a 61.5 wing added. Then when new hd was added and not aviable on my set up they added 72.7 since I can't get 129 at my house due to trees

If you are missing HD channels from their normal 9000 channel range and only find those channels in the 4000's then you need to call DISH for a DISH upgrade as in a few weeks those channels will be removed from the 4000's too.

I did this when fox soccer chanel and bbc america went hd and didn't get them cause I was given 61.5 when I upgraded. Now I have 72.7 as well. Problom solved

We have lost HGTV, FX and some others. 129 is an issue due to trees. Will we lose local HD if we move our 61.5 to 72.7? We are in Minneapolis.

UPDATE: Looks like we will be missing the following channels by moving to 72.7/77. How is this acceptable?

I may be missing something, but a single 1000.4 dish would put you on the EARC. That would give you 61.5, 72.7 and 77. That's what I have and I get all the channels you listed above.

I am showing that the Minneapolis DMA is available on Eastern Arc. If you have NLOS for 129 I would recommend setting up a tech to come switch you to an Eastern Arc setup. Pm me your account information if you want me to setup this up or take a look for you.
