Just noticed that the small cover plate in the MIDDLE of my Dish was never provided and being new to Bud dishes I never thought to ask about it. Is this critical to the operation of this Dish re focusing the Satellite Beam Signals? And if so where can I get this plate? See attached picture.

At the risk of advocating unnecessary perfectionism, I see that centre plate as performing at least 3 functions:
1. increased structural integrity of the dish, particularly the centre area
2. if there are viewing holes in the dead centre of the disks (one on the front, one on the back), then visually checking for symmetry of the dish with strings is easier and more accurate
3. anything which seals out insects from building nests inside the ends of the tubes supporting the mesh is good.
But as noted above by those more experienced than I am it is not likely to affect your signal except marginally.

Structural integrity for sure. Most of the mesh BUDs I've seen use it to hold all the suport arms together.........there's usually one on the front and one on the back, sandwiching the tubes and making things nice and rigid.
Could be subject to warpage without it there.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys. Talked in detail to the previous owner of the Dish today who was pretty careful in keeping all items including the Uniden 9900 manual, and he says the Dish never did come with a middle cover!!
I do believe him, and if it doesn't affect performance except maybe possible warpage in future, think I'll leave it for now, but look around for a cover in future.

What is sure to cause problems sooner or later is the cable insulation being slowly worn down on the cut ends of the rectangular tubes, but that would be easy enough to fix with a few tie wraps.
