I like these types of yard sales.

Saturday I was at the lake house and driving to the grocery store (which is about 20 miles away) I noticed a “moving sale…all must go” sign. A yard sale in February in Minnesota?? (It was 45 Saturday). I figured “what the hell” and swung by.

Much to my surprise (and happiness), the moving sale was a former Ham operators house (sadly, the Ham operator is gone), so there was some good stuff. The guy also had some FTA stuff.

Got me a Microyal 900 receiver, a 18” dish (no LNB), a KU LNB (Microyal single LNB), and a whole bunch of cables. He also had a C-band setup, but someone was there in the morning and took it (PSB, you weren’t near McGregor, were ya :)) and the “smaller satellite dishes” as the lady put (which must have been the 30” dishes

So tonight I’m going to hook up the Microyal and see how (or if) it works. I found the manual on the internet so I’ll have some fun : )

Does anyone know anything about the features of this unit? I know it doesn’t have blind scan (bummer). Anyone have one out there and can shed some light?

Nice find Iceberg. Looks like a newer receiver. Hope you got a good price on it all?

I hope to find some stuff this year at sales/hamfests

I lucked out...normally I see DirectTv receivers that are real old...sometimes a dish pops up but they want to sell the "system" for outrageous prices.
