microHD and universal lnb settings

I am an 80 year old newby. How do I set my microHD to run with a universal LNB, please.

Select LNB LO Universal 9750/10600
or
LO 10600 and turn 22khz ON

10600 22k on works better for most satellites as most NOrth American satellites do not use the low band (10700-11700)...so why waste time scanning those?
