GEOSATpro Micro HD crashed

Was on 1080i and attempted to change the aspect. Receiver went to blank screen with " Unsupport".
Reboots, power off will not bring it back.
This receiver is definitely not what everyone is bragging it up to be.
Weak graphics, doesn't hold its sat position from sat list to next menu etc.
Doesn't perform well with C/Ku LNBF, mixes C and Ku sometimes
Remote is low quality, reminds me of old Fortec Lifetime remote
Anyway Brian, can you shed some light on why my receiver went into unsupport mode?
AND is there a fix?
The receiver has a good pic and audio.

what software version are you using?

Plug in the composite cable, that's fixed to 480i. Once you can see the menu again, put it back to 1080i

The sat list issue was fixed in the later firmwares

Yes but only if the unit will boot so you can access the update by USB screen. Otherwise you need to use the ttl port.

This is not an issue with receiver defect, you simply selected a resolution that your TV does not support. Your TV is generating this message.

Follow the previous suggestion to connect via the composite cable and select a resolution that your TV supports.

Update the receiver to the 8/29 firmware and you should have a much improved experience.
