Meter for dish setup RVing?

I camp on the wkend with my family in our 5th wheel in NJ,Pa,NY and always used the 3LNB dish to watch direct tv.The boxes come out off our house for the trip and set up the 18x20 dish at the camp site. each time this could take 5minute to 1hr or just putting it away. But now I just got HD service and have (H21 boxes and picked up a 5LBN slimline dish for the rv)..I need help in setting up the dish each time. Been looking at meters in the 130$ range for I have the 10$ meter w/beeper and that was hit or miss in setup...Location sites change form one wkend its upstate NY to cape may NJ the next,so if I had a meter to tune into a certain Sat. when doing setup thats easy to use..Im new to "HD setup" for direct TV and was looking at the Satlink ws6906 would that work for me if not which one?

Welcome to SatelliteGuys! If you still have the Phase III dish try the SL5 LNB on it (at your house)with your current meter & see how you do, I use this set up camping and it will get most channels I need with out the extra hassle of the bigger, bulkier slimline dish. (I use an inexpensive meter, but normally take a H20 and use the audio on the dish pointing menu to set up).

dfergie, if he is having issues tuning a Slimline, it's going to be even harder to get a good signal on a Phase III dish with the lnb from the P3.

It's easier (at least for me) to aim a Phase III with the SL5 than a Slimline with the same, extra weight on the tripod etc... and even at the house I get my Phase III on pretty quickly(I leave one mounted)...

I just got the upgrade for HD and had the dish and boxes installed last week,then bought a SL5 LNB slimline for my camper this week and assembled the dish today. So what I want to know for setup at the campground to make it easy and go quicker would a meter like the SatLink WS6906 help me,for I dont want to drag out the box and TV to the dish. Thanks for any ideas which could help for getting the set up done quick and easy...............

If using a 18x20 Phase 3 dish I would recommend using a SL3 LNB instead of SL5, forget about 110/119 and just aim to 101 and then tweak for 99/103.
