mesh repair?

My mesh dish got beat up by tennis ball sized hail a few years ago.
One of these kit's has enough mesh to replace 2 panels on a 7 footer.
I removed a good panel and used it as a template. Used it to draw a pattern on the mesh material. Cuts easily with a heavy shears.

Hey, are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin' ?

Part of one sheet would make a heck of a Ku antenna. (48x48, 48x60, 48x74?)
Two sheets would make a heck of an anything antenna...(48+48=96, x 74")
