I've just spent 3 days with 2 different VIP622 trying to connect them to the MBR1000 cradlepoint router with no luck. Dish says they will not work with wireless internet or Aircards. Is this true? Has anyone the following setup working?

VIP622
MBR1000 cradlepoint router
Sprint 597 usb modem plugged into the MBR1000.
Ethernet cable from VIP622 to the Lan port of the MBR1000

I can see a MAC addy pop up in the router admin screen and also an IP addy is assigned, but the IP never showes up on the VIP622.

On the VIP622 I get green light and flickering yellow light.

I can take same ethernet cable (unplug from VIP622) and plug into laptop or PS3 and bam they work fine.

any ideas?

Router firmware is latest 1.3.1 and I've not messed with the settings.

At a loss here..

ty in advance.

the fix.

Tada it does work!

One of the last 2, or a combination of the last 2 steps, fix the issue.

1. Cleaned the ethernet port gold plated wires on the VIP622 which had never been used.

2. Replaced the ethernet cable connectors. ~ a 35ft cable.

:eureka

Dish CSR is of course wrong.
Green and blinking yellow is GOOD. Basic connection (green) and Packets being sent/received (yellow blinking). And the fact that you see an ip addy means some attempt to establish communication is working. You probably need to change settings in your router.
