Max Events 622?

Anyone else notice that the max number of events seems to be less with L449?

I keep hitting the limit at 107 now instead of 138.

I wish they would kill the limit.

I hope that once the Austin locals go live, I can reduce the number of duplicates......

Man I hit the limit on timers w/ 448 so if this is so I'm gonna be screwed.

Per that, it should be 288 events. I'm having issues adding when the events listed are in the low 100's.

I wonder if there is a disconnect somewhere?

As far as I'm concerned they should find a way to increase the number to 1000+.

Yes. However, today it's being inconsistent. I show 142 events, and it'll let me add more.

Now I'm really confused.

The limit of events has since (referring to the linked post) been increased with a download some months ago. It is well over 300, but, again, I don't know the limit. Someone has posted what the limit for the 622 is.

people have posted that it should be 288, but I have seen mine reject new timers as low as 104.

I don't know if that's a bug or what.

The limit is 96 timers which can generate up to 576 events (including skipped and duplicate), whichever comes first. The event limit was raised in L401.

I am reading 120 timers and and 346 events on one of my VIP722s. Am I reading it wrong or does the 722 a higher limit than the 622?

As noted already, the number was increased to 500+. 576 sounds right.... Look here, EKB: ViP622 Software History, and scroll way down (to L4.01 as noted above).

I wasn't aware that there was a timer/event, either/or, limit.

LER, remember, any timer you set still counts every episode that's broadcast on the channel you specify whether it will record it or not. For example, if you tell it to record only NEW episodes of SpongeBob on ch 170, it will stick "flag" OLD episodes ... and they count. Are most of your recordings "series" type shows ? I'm guessing they are.

I was looking at the full event list. HOWEVER, it may have been the timer limit, but I'm not sure. It's fine for the moment, since I recreated all of them with the addition of the Austin HD LIL's.

That's well above 96 timers, as is LER's 104 which I initially thought was events. I don't recall any previous mention of the timers being increased, just the events. Looks like we get to find the find the new limit on our own. The big problem with the old limit of 288 events was that the ratio of 3:1 to 96 timers was not high enough if you had several timers of shows that have multiple replays. Maybe they simply doubled both numbers which would give 192 timers. Anyone have some spare time to explore that?
