ABC Delays Marvel's Agent Carter https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/abc-delays-marvels-agent-carter-141200228.html
Friends, family, the three members of the Chad Michael Murray fan club who are reading this: I have some bad news. ABC is delaying the Season 2 premiere of Marvel's Agent Carter. Now before you start bombarding the official ABC Twitter account with all the weapons emojis and before you can fire off a strongly worded e-mail about how the network is "seriously, like, trying to ruin your life," you should know that there is actually a legitimate reason for the delay: the State of the Union Address is scheduled for January 12.

Agent Carter: Lyndsy Fonseca's Angie Will Return... In an Unusual Way https://www.yahoo.com/tv/agent-carter-lyndsy-fonsecas-angie-215509049.html
Agent Carter‘s gal pal will be making a rather surreal comeback.Lyndsy Fonseca, who was conspicuously missing from the Season 2 cast announced at New York Comic-Con, is now slated reprise her role as Angie Martinelli — but not in the real world. (Or, as real as Los Angeles can be.)While it would make sense for the aspiring actress to join Peggy et al for the trip to L.A., the new setting of the upcoming run, Angie actually will appear in a dream sequence, EW.com reports.“Episode 8 ends with a cliffhanger where Peggy and Jarvis get in big trouble and are knocked out,” exec producer Michele Fazekas tells the site. Episode 9 then picks up with a black-and-white song-and-dance vision in which Angie is saying “the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself.”

In the season premiere (airing Jan. 19 at 9/8c and titled “The Lady in the Lake”), Peggy moves to Los Angeles to help Chief Daniel Sousa at the West Coast SSR investigate a bizarre homicide. In that night’s second episode, “A View in the Dark,” Peggy discovers that her investigation has huge ramifications that can destroy her career —as well as everyone near and dear to her.

Agent Carter's second season will have tie-in to Doctor Strange http://www.polygon.com/2016/1/13/10...nd-season-will-have-tie-ins-to-doctor-strange
Agent Carter is going to continue linking Marvel's TV world to its cinematic universe by bringing parts of Doctor Strange to the show's second season.Showrunners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas told Comic Book Resources that the concept of "Darkforce" will be used as a narrative arc in the second season to tie the series into both Doctor Strange and Agents of SHIELD.In the comics, the "Darkforce" is an unidentifiable entity that played a part in the creation of various superheroes and villains.Essentially, Carter will travel to Los Angeles to investigate a company called Isodyne Energy and the weapons of mass destruction it's working on. Through her investigation, she stumbles upon the "Darkforce" and spends quite some time trying to figure out what the mysterious extra-dimensional energy is."That's our tie-in to the Doctor Strange universe, and also to SHIELD because you've seen it in SHIELD as well," Fazekas told the website. In the first season of Agents of SHIELD, the energy force was used to power one of the show's more memorable villains, Blackout. Although, Fazekas was quick to point out that because the "Darkforce" affects every character differently, the way it presents itself in Agent Carter will be much different than how people first saw it work in Agents of SHIELD.

Everything You Need To Remember Before The 'Agent Carter' Season 2 Premiere https://www.yahoo.com/tv/everything-remember-agent-carter-season-164511076.html
While it was originally billed as a “limited event,” Agent Carter will be returning to ABC tonight for the premiere of its second season. (We’ll post a review after it airs.) After a smart and charming first season, Marvel fans are ready to have Hayley Atwell and her magnificent hat back on their TV screens. Having won us over with her gumption and grit in Captain America: The First Avenger, Atwell’s Peggy Carter has truly been given space to shine in the ABC series, which focuses on her time in the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) after the end of WWII. Before we barrel ahead into season two, let’s take a quick refresher course on season one.

"AGENT CARTER" SHOWRUNNERS TALK SEASON TWO'S HOLLYWOOD MOVE, WHITNEY FROST & THE DARKFORCE http://www.comicbookresources.com/a...os-hollywood-move-whitney-frost-the-darkforce
Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is heading west, calling Los Angeles her new home in the second season of "Marvel's Agent Carter" on ABC. Between Hollywood glitz and glamour, shadowy film noir schemes, new femme fatales and something science can't quite explain, Peggy is going to have her hands full the moment she touches down in the city of Angels.Executive Producers Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas and Chris Dingess have dropped their hero directly into Hollywood's Golden Age during 1947 along with several familiar SSR faces and Howard Stark's butler, Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy). They'll have to navigate a sun-soaked but still treacherous landscape that places Tinseltown trappings and the then-burgeoning Space Age scene against the pitch black potboilers of the great age of noir. The showrunners recently assembled on the set of the newly established Los Angeles outpost of the SSR to declassify some of the secrets of Peggy's West Coast adventures.

Dottie’s patented Black Widow moves and even a little banter (“Love the hat,” Peggy deadpans to her nemesis, before getting the best of her). Later, Peggy attempts to interrogate Dottie about why she was in the bank, since no one can explain the lapel pin found in the box. Why is the object so important? All we know is that according to the FBI, Dottie was attempting to steal from “a powerful man with powerful allies,” but the object is something that will undoubtedly play a key role in this season’s story. (And we have even more reason to suspect it’s important when Peggy later finds a lapel pin with the same symbol in Howard Stark’s car.) As Dottie tells Peggy, “We both know there are currencies stronger than money.”

MEET "AGENT CARTER'S" DR. JASON WILKES IN LATEST FEATURETTE http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/meet-agent-carters-dr-jason-wilkes-in-latest-featurette
ABC has released a new featurette for "Agent Carter" ahead of the Season 2 premiere, which puts the spotlight on a new character, Dr. Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin).Described as a quirky scientist, Dr. Wilkes will get to know Peggy (Hayley Atwell) this season as she makes the move to the West Coast. In the featurette, Austin discusses the challenges Wilkes faces as a black scientist in the '40s, and how that brings him closer to Peggy.Find out why "sparks fly" between Wilkes and Peggy in the featurette, below:

'Agent Carter' season 2 kicks off with suspense, wastes no time connecting to Doctor Strange https://www.yahoo.com/tv/agent-carter-season-2-kicks-232600518.html
Season two begins with a robbery and a double cross -- Russian assassin Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan, “White Collar”) is holding up a bank to steal a silver lapel pin from the safety deposit box of a secret society. Her heist is interrupted when our heroine, Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell, “Captain America: The First Avenger”) busts in on Dottie with a riffle. Dottie is quickly disposed of, and the pin is returned to the safety of Peggy’s covert government agency, the Strategic Scientific Reserve, or SSR for short. Our badass lady agent is then called to Los Angeles to investigate a murder. While murder isn’t typically the type of case the SSR investigates, this one is special: a radioactive body has just been found in a frozen lake in the middle of a California summer. Sound interesting enough?

Hayley Atwell on Agent Carter's 'Fascinating' Foe, Jarvis Face-Off, What Sousa and Wilkes Share With Cap https://www.yahoo.com/tv/hayley-atwell-agent-carters-fascinating-200007113.html
ABC’s Agent Carter is on a new mission (Tuesdays at 9/8c) — one that has improbably paired a mysteriously frozen woman with sunshiney, avocado-loving Hollywood.Already in her travels out West, Peggy has awkwardly reunited with new SSR chief Daniel Sousa, reignited her banter with Howard Stark’s manservant Jarvis (as well as met her stoic sidekick’s bubbly missus) and made the acquaintance of the dashing Dr. Jason Wilkes. Alas, the latter soon enough met a to-be-revealed fate after both he and movie star Whitney Frost had a nasty run-in with some ominous “zero matter.”Here, series lead Hayley Atwell sizes up Peggy’s new female foil, evaluates the elite agent’s lacking love life and teases a venom-fueled face-off with a surprising someone.

Agent Carter Weird Science https://www.yahoo.com/movies/agent-carter-recap-weird-science-030000141.html
This explanation is as unconvincing as it sounds. I don't actually care if the science in Agent Carter is grounded in any kind of reality; I just want it to feel organic to the show's world. However, the sudden reemergence of Jason Wilkes is the rare development that feels like writers cutting corners to get to an outcome they desire as quickly as possible. (In this case, getting Peggy and Jason back in the same room so they can keep flirting). Before long, Wilkes's list of admirers also includes Howard Stark, who vows to find a way to bring him home. I'll be happy when Wilkes can rejoin the gang in earnest, but I wish Agent Carter had found a more elegant way to reintroduce him into the mix.In the meantime, Peggy focuses on going after her new enemies at Isodyne, as well as the greater conspiracy beyond them. It's no surprise to learn that the Arena Club's Council of Nine, that shadowy group we met last week, is pulling strings to ensure that Calvin Chadwick (Currie Graham) wins his senatorial campaign. Wisely, "Better Angels" spends the greater chunk of time on Peggy's much more interesting adversary: Chadwick's wife Whitney Frost, née Agnes Cully, the famous actress who also happens to be the genius truly responsible for Isodyne's success.

Agent Carter season 2 episode 3 review: Better Angels http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/agent-c...-episode-3-review-better-angels#ixzz3ya71oG3V
This review contains spoilers. With the world of Agent Carter re-established, this episode followed up on the mysteries that were introduced in the first two episodes. Wilkes’ death wasn’t what it seemed, and Whitney Frost turned out to be much more than first met the eye, even as Peggy’s own organisation gets in the way – again – of her investigations. This episode saw military coward/Peggy’s SSR superior Jack Thompson turn up in LA to interfere, and after being relatively one-dimensional for most of the previous series, he’s proving a surprisingly strong addition to the cast here – not least because we genuinely don’t know if he’s going to do the right thing or not. He knows Peggy has dirt on him and that makes their relationship interesting, especially because his coping mechanism for that isn’t to just give her what she wants, but to try and control her.

PEGGY HAS NO TIME FOR TORTURE IN NEW "AGENT CARTER" CLIP http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/peggy-has-no-time-torture-new-agent-carter-clip
There's a new villain on the loose in Los Angeles, and Agent Peggy Carter is on the case. The second season of "Agent Carter" has seen the SSR travel across the country and become entangled in a conspiracy involving the mysterious Zero Matter -- a substance that's already done considerable damage so far this season. But now Carter (Hayley Atwell) knows who's behind this mad science, and she's willing to do whatever she can to find and stop Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett).Of course, she also wants to do all that quickly. This new clip from tonight's episode, which is titled "Smoke and Mirrors," sees an impatient Peggy dealing with a captive.

Agent Carter Season 2 Is About To Reveal An MCU Twist http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Agent-Carter-About-Reveal-An-MCU-Twist-115397.html
On the movie side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve seen Peggy Carter at two key points in her life. Captain America: The First Avenger showed her early days with the SSR, while Captain America: The Winter Soldier showed her near the end of her life. Agent Carter is following up on her post-World War II adventures, but in tonight’s episode, fans are going to learn another important tidbit about Peggy from before she fought alongside Steve Rogers: that the Star Spangled Avenger wasn’t her first love. Episode 4 of Agent Carter Season 2, titled “Smoke and Mirrors,” will delve into how Peggy became the woman she is today, including where she got her “tenacity, her discipline, her purpose and what drives her.” This “fork in the road” came when Peggy was forced to choose between marrying a man or training to be a spy. As Hayley Atwell explained to EW:

Agent Carter Wedded Miss http://tvline.com/2016/02/02/agent-carter-season-2-recap-peggy-wedding-fred/
In flashbacks that were sprinkled throughout the hour, we successively glimpsed Margaret aka Peggy as a rugrat who was a bit too rough-and-tumble for her momma’s liking, then as a young bride-to-be whose engagement news immediately prefaced an invitation to join Winston Churchill’s new espionage initiative. Peggy’s intended, Fred, seemingly talked her out of the unusual career path, while her enlisted brother Michael outright championed it. Peggy was on the fence at best, obviously intrigued by that which others saw in her, until her wedding day, when news of Michael being KIA nudged her to follow her head versus heart and choose the SOE over Fred.Separate but equally fascinating flashbacks centered on Whitney Frost nee Agnes Cully, who as a pre-teen was super-precocious and unabashedly disapproving of her mother’s choice in men/pastimes. Having grown up being told to dismiss her smarts and instead focus on her looks, movie buff Agnes ultimately bumped into a(n admittedly sketchy) “talent agent” who saw a modeling/acting career ahead of her.

Agent Carter Mega Buzz: Peggy's Love Life Gets Even More Complicated http://www.tvguide.com/news/agent-carter-spoilers-peggy-jason-sousa/
As Peggy (Hayley Atwell) continues flirting with her non-corporeal crush Jason (Reggie Austin) on Agent Carter, the pair stumbles upon a new use for zero matter that may help them take their feelings to the next level.Finding himself drawn to the zero matter in the sample of Jane Scott's body, Jason accidentally absorbs the substance, making him temporarily solid again. Peggy immediately sets out to retrieve Jane's body, to help permanently restore Jason's mass, only to find herself beaten to the punch by Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett). While Jason continues to disappear under Peggy's eyes without more zero matter, Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) makes a major life decision. But - again, thanks to Whitney - the choice is taken out of Sousa's hands. But this time, the end result may have fans thanking the actress for her villainous ways.
