Marvel releases first 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer after it leaks online

Final 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer focuses how indispensable Black Widow is https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/final-avengers-age-ultron-focuses-164800001.html
Marvel is in the home stretch when it comes to marketing “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.” And with less than a month until opening day, Joss Whedon and company would like to remind audiences that Black Widow is the lynchpin holding these capricious men together with a perfect combination of infinite patience and kicks to the face.Despite having no superpowers other than those granted by her Red Room Academy training, Natasha holds her own in world designed for billionaires in rocket suits and scientists that turn into rage monsters. That’s…extremely impressive. In this trailer alone, she jumps from a moving vehicle that she was driving and into flawless “I’m going to kick your face in” formation, Superman punches her way over idiot villain minions to talk Bruce down from Hulk-status, returns Steve’s shield while maneuvering a motorcycle in a way that would impress James Bond, and goes one-on-one against Ultron with a electric stick and CAPTAIN AMERICA’S SHIELD.

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ On Track For $200M Bow For Superhero Cluster Flick https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/avengers-age-ultron-track-200m-134341009.html
Tracking for one of this summer’s most highly anticipated tentpoles, Disney/Marvel’s The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, came out this morning and, as expected, it’s tracking a little better than The Avengers at the same point in the cycle. That one, which was the highest opening in history, debuted to $207.4M in May 2012. This new superhero cluster flick — which includes everyone from Captain America and Iron Man to The Hulk, Thor, Falcon, Quicksilver, and Black Widow — bows May 1 in 3D and Imax 3D and is expected to be one of the highest — if not the highest — opening in history. The picture will open in previews Thursday, April 30 at 7 P.M. Advance ticket sales started early last month. Right now, sales are through the roof and the sequel is “significantly outselling” the first Avengers, said a Fandango spokesperson. “Theaters around the country are sold out and managers are right now adding showtimes to meet the fan demand.”If you look at the comp for this sequel it is tracking around the same as Iron Man 3, which opened to $174.1M and went onto gross $409M domestically on its way to a $1B worldwide take. Geez, what will Disney/Marvel do if they only open to $200M on this one? The most important segment on tracking is unaided awareness, and that is a little below The Avengers right now — about two points lower — which means the audience that you want to tap into beyond the core doesn’t have it top of mind quite yet. The demos are skewed male, but females are right in line with where a normal Marvel title would be.Avengers: Age Of Ultron, directed by Joss Whedon, may beat Marvel’s The Avengers (also directed by Whedon) as the highest opening ever. After debuting with $207.4M at 4,349 theaters The Avengers ended its domestic run at $623.4M becoming the third-highest-grossing film in North American behind Jim Cameron’s one-two punch of Avatar ($760.5M in 2009) and Titanic ($658.7M in 1997).Age Of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Idris Elba, and James Spader as the voice of the evil Ultron who wants to eliminate the entire human species. There are two sequels already planned for this superhero fan film — both have Avengers: Infinity War in their titles. They will be released in May of 2018 and 2019 and be helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

'Avengers: Age of Ultron': The Shocking Death of J.A.R.V.I.S https://gma.yahoo.com/avengers-age-ultron-shocking-death-j-r-v-152852630--abc-news-celebrities.html
With "Avengers: Age of Ultron" only weeks away, more plot points are starting to pop up in interviews and online. For instance, director Joss Whedon and others spoke to Entertainment Weekly about a new character, the Vision.Paul Bettany will play the character created by super villain Ultron. But Bettany had played the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S., the voice inside Iron Man's suit and the artificial intelligence that helped Tony Stark create his suit since the very first "Iron Man."So, what does this mean for J.A.R.V.I.S.?Big Spoilers Ahead! You guessed it: Apparently, he has to die to be reborn as the Vision. In the movie, Ultron appears and says something about “killing the other guy" to be free. The other guy he is talking about is J.A.R.V.I.S., according to EW.You see, J.A.R.V.I.S. was keeping Ultron under wraps and in the control of Stark. So, Ultron killed the program and Stark lost his buddy. In fact, EW reports, when Stark calls on J.A.R.V.I.S. in the film, the Avengers see "violence that looks like a digital massacre." In other words, Ultron murdered Stark's friend and program. Will Bettany be a villain, at first, then join the team -- or will he stay loyal to his creator, Ultron? That shall be revealed on May 1, when "Avengers" hits theaters.

New Avengers: Age of Ultron footage shows Iron Man, Hulk battle in detail (spoilers) https://games.yahoo.com/news/avengers-age-ultron-footage-shows-014958029.html
MTV debuted an extended look at a fight between Iron Man and Incredible Hulk from the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron and ... yeah. It's pretty hardcore. Click here to view it. http://media.mtvnservices.com/embed...id=1183947&uri=mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:1183947 So there is a pretty major spoiler in here: We now know that this battle happens due to the Scarlet Witch getting into Hulk's brain to turn him against the Avengers. The scene, according to MTV, leads into an even larger-scale battle, although we don't have any details on that yet. Also, the floating repair station for the Hulk Buster armor is pretty cool. They're going to save some surprises for opening night, right?

Avengers: Age of Ultron's latest clip is a fight scene between Ultron and the Avengers https://games.yahoo.com/news/avengers-age-ultrons-latest-clip-035004194.html
Marvel held the red-carpet premiere for Avengers: Age of Ultron in Hollywood tonight, and released a new minute-long clip from the film featuring a battle between Avengers, led by Iron Man, and Ultron.Ultron (James Spader), flanked by Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), bristles at a comparison with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) just as Stark's Iron Man drops down alongside his fellow Avengers, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans). All hell breaks loose when Ultron, rather than explaining his evil plan, takes the fight directly to Iron Man.Following the clip are a few other scenes from Avengers: Age of Ultron, which hits theaters May 1.

Iron Man's ‘Hulkbuster’ armor is the biggest clue to Marvel's 5-year future http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/24/7057313/hulkbuster-iron-man-vs-the-hulk-is-cool-and-poignant
Since the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, the biggest tease has been Iron Man's enormous "Hulkbuster" suit and his very public fight with The Hulk. In the latest trailer, we finally see the reason why Iron Man and The Hulk are fighting, which has less to do with heroes infighting and more to do with external magic. But it ultimately doesn't matter why the Hulk and Iron Man are fighting. What's more important is that Iron Man came prepared for the fight with a pre-built supersuit designed to take on his (former) best friend — and that says as much about Iron Man as it does the entire future of Marvel's cinematic universe.Caution: While we'll avoid mentioning any Age of Ultron rumors, this piece will does talk at length about the trailer, the official synopsis, some comic book stories, and Robert Downey Jr.'s involvement with Captain America 3. Cool? Cool.Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor made its first appearance in the comic books in 1994 before getting a nice set of upgrades in 2003. Similar to what we saw in the trailer, it's an add-on that fits over Iron Man's traditional suit, providing extra power and weight at the expense of mobility. It's designed to take a heavy-duty beating and dish one out in kind, making it a match for Banner at his worst. In the world of comics, the term "hulkbuster" can apply to other contraptions or even organized groups, but let's keep the focus on Iron Man here. The reasons why they fight are less crucial than they seem, but we shouldn't take this lightly. That the Avengers present a united front against galactic threats is a big deal, and to tear that asunder is to tear down one of the most powerful team-ups their universe has ever seen (and indeed our universe, as well: 2012's The Avengers is the third-largest box office success of all time, domestic and worldwide, behind only Avatar and Titanic — "breaking up the band" in some senses would be a huge financial risk).

Instant Commentary: Joss Whedon on Filming 'Sexy' Scene Between Hulk and Black Widow in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron’ https://www.yahoo.com/movies/avengers-age-of-ultron-hulk-black-widow-scene-116394576322.html
Spoiler alert: The romance is revved up in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it starts with this early scene that finds Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow attempting to calm a hot-tempered Hulk as he smashes about a snowy forest.Director Joss Whedon walked us through the stage-setting clip in our latest installment of Instant Commentary (which you can watch above), and he’s not going to lie: He finds the two characters’ encounter kinda hot.“I think this is kind of romantic, and a little sexy,” said Whedon, who returns after directing the monstrously successful first assemblage of The Avengers in 2012, and who’s said Ultron will likely be his last big Marvel movie. “It wasn’t until a few days before we were finished that we had all the final renderings, and watching what [visual effects studio] ILM did with the Hulk’s eyes, [we saw] the specificity of what he’s going through. Suddenly we all looked at each other and said, 'Oh this is a lot sexier than we [intended]. We all thought it was interesting, and romantic, and ambiguous, and we’re like, ‘This is less ambiguous.’”

8 Other Villains Who Could Appear In Avengers: Infinity War http://www.cinemablend.com/new/8-Other-Villains-Who-Could-Appear-Avengers-Infinity-War-70905.html
For years, Thanos has been biding his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but when Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II hit theaters in 2018 and 2019, respectively, he’ll finally get the chance to shine as the main antagonist. He’ll already be extremely powerful on his own, but new word has come down that he may not be alone in fighting the Marvel heroes. Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon recently revealed that there will be more villains than just the Mad Titan in both films. It’s bad enough to have one alien warrior determined to collect the six Infinity Stones, but now there will apparently be other bad guys joining the fray! It’s not clear in what capacity these villains would serve, but presumably they will be at least be somewhat connected to Thanos and his mission. This could be a great opportunity to not only introduce new adversaries from the comics for the Avengers and other heroes to battle, but also bring back enemies from past movies for another round. Taking Thanos’ comic book history and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s past, here are the best candidates for villains to pit against the heroes in the third and fourth Avengers installments.

'Age of Ultron' Producer on Film's Ending: "People are Going to Say, 'Oh my God!'" https://www.yahoo.com/movies/marvel-jeremy-latcham-avengers-age-of-ultron-116641105597.html
Marvel producer Jeremy Latcham says the Avengers movies could go on indefinitely, telling Yahoo Movies: “We could stay here forever. It’s fun. Why would you leave?”Latcham may not be as big a name to Marvel fans as Kevin Feige, but he’s just as important. The filmmaker holds the lofty title of Senior Vice-President of Production Development and he’s played an instrumental part in ushering in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting back in 2008 with Iron Man. He’s since had a hand in all of the studio’s output, most recently as executive producer on Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is where we caught up with him last year on the film’s set in Shepperton, London. Latcham says they’ve mapped out their release plan up to 2020, but doesn’t see any sign that they’ll ever stop. Here’s what else the super-producer told us about Avengers: Age of Ultron and the future of the Marvel movies.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON TV Spot #18 (2015) Marvel Superhero Movie HD... AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON - Official TV Spot #17 (Low Quality) 2015

Review: 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' Is A Galactus-Sized Disappointment....Thumbnail: Avengers: Age of Ultron is a scattershot and ultimately unexciting affair, neither a game-changer in the Marvel Universe nor a suitably engaging one-off. http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme...tment/?utm_campaign=yahootix&partner=yahootix
The Box Office:Let’s be honest: The only question here is whether or not Avengers: Age of Ultron makes $1 billion, $1.5 billion, or $2 billion worldwide. It’s going to be the biggest movie of the summer. It’s probably going to stand alongside Furious 7 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens as one of the biggest movies of the year –perhaps of all-time. A potential critical consensus similar to mine may theoretically cost Disney $3.72 over opening weekend, and I wish the marketing hadn’t given so much of the little pleasures away, but little of that will matter. The blockbuster sequel to the third-highest-grossing film of all time cost $250 million to make; it may make that back before it even opens in America. It premieres in France on the 22nd and the U.K. on the 23rd, but it won’t open until May 1st in America. The fans are excited, the film is looking at an opening weekend of over/under $215 million, and now it’s just a matter of how big of an impact it makes the second time out. My review is much too long so I’m going to leave it at that. Even if this film “underperforms” (whatever that would be under these circumstances), everybody is already jazzed for Captain America: Civil War.

Chris Evans & Jeremy Renner Apologize for Calling Scarlett Johannson’s Character a Slut https://www.yahoo.com/style/chris-evans-jeremy-renner-apologize-for-calling-117184077493.html Chris Evans & Jeremy Renner on Captain America future and Spider-Man joining the MCU....The actors talk to Digital Spy about Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War and Spiderman joining the MCU. .......
Scarlett Johannson’s character in Avengers: Age of Ultron is impressive: She kicks butt in a skin-tight leather suit and keeps up with men from other planets with unnatural abilities—all while keeping it cool. She’s also intelligent, cool, and beautiful. Any superhero would be lucky to have her, and fans hoped that Natasha Romanoff would choose Captain America, played by Chris Evans, or Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner. Instead Black Widow, her alter-ego, chooses Bruce Banner, the Hulk, disappointing many. In an interview with Renner and Evans, a reporter asked the pair what they thought of the coupling, which left their characters jilted. Renner joked, “She’s a slut.” Evans then broke out in laughter and said, “I was going to say something along that line. She’s a complete whore.” The host then added, “Whatever movie it is, she’ll just be the sidekick, she’ll be flirting.” They agreed, and then Evans responded, “She’ll just flirt with everybody.” Renner then put an end to the line of questioning and noted, “She has a prosthetic leg anyway.”Many were upset by how the actors spoke of the romance and categorizing the woman as promiscuous for simply choosing one man over others. Some called it “unbelievable,” others labeled it “slut-shaming” and “appalling,” while most came to the consensus it was sexist and misogynistic. On social media, some even vowed to not see the highly-anticipated film. Because of the reaction, both actors subsequently apologized. “We answered in a very juvenile and offensive way that rightfully angered some fans. I regret it and sincerely apologize,” Evans said in a statement. Renner echoed his sentiments with a similarly crafted concession. “I am sorry that this tasteless joke about a fictional character offended anyone,” he said. “It was not meant to be serious in any way. Just poking fun during an exhausting and tedious press tour.”

By the end of the frame, it will be open in 55% of the overseas marketplace. Kick-offs today are in Korea, the UK, Brazil, Australia, Russia, Germany and Argentina.
