Manifest (Netflix)

I had this hunch, that not all could be good after the plane experience.

Now we have that shadow person, (or shadow of a real person) and his first victim.

But why her?

And who will be next?

I liked the second episode more than the first. I'm hooked!

But there was something technically inaccurate in episode 2. They showed a guy talking on his cellphone in a metal lined storage area. There is no way he could possibly get reception there! Do they think people can really believe this series after something like that? :facepalm
How do you know theres not a repeater in the room ?

I don't know. There aren't many self-storage lockers in the country with a cell repeater. But I suppose the guy had all that stolen jewelry could easily afford such a luxury.

Actually, I was just joking in my post about credibility. I mean, if you can have a plane disappear for 5 1/2 years and reappear, why not put a repeater in storage locker. :)

I also had the same impression as Kab -- that she was killed for going public. We don't know who killed her. Maybe a government agent?

Was the shadow in the girl's drawing a symbol of her mom's boyfriend?

I have a feeling that they're going to leave us with a lot more questions.

Lets hope that it continues to hold our interest or they will cancel it like just about every sci-fi series on network tv. Still looking forward to the "Timeless" movie this holiday period that wraps up another sci-fi series that I really enjoyed.

Tottaly agree with you
I remember how the sci-fi series "The Event" which aired also on NBC, was cancelled in a cliffhanger leaving me with so many questions.....:(

And I'm still recovering from Timeless (also NBC) being cancelled twice....second one another cliffhanger that left me sallivating for closure, that hopefully we'll get in a few months.

It isn't doing bad in ratings, so at least it doesn't look like it'll be cancelled in the first few weeks....

Good week to week numbers and time slot lead means it's quite safe for the time being. Beating out the Good Doctor is nothing to sneeze at.

From what I see in the ratings for the last couple of weeks, Manifest is number 1 on its timeslot, and it's even doing better than Magnum, which airs in the previous hour.

My big concern is that this is NBC, and this is the 10 PM timeslot in which The Event was cancelled (ok poor ratings), but this timeslot also had The Blacklist with great ratings in its first season, and NBC moved it and that in part IMO started to bring the show down..

Timeless was also on this timeslot and well you all know the story....

Maybe another network will buy it once NBC lets it go.

So .... people are asking questions and SOMEONE is killing those who talk ....

Theres always someone you don't like .... that would be the government guy that keeps on trying to take over these cases ....
