Making a 4DTV receiver as a slave and the new fortech is the master.

Hello everyones,

As I am waiting for the pro installer to instail my 90 CM KU band dish "3 foot" with a H to H motor.

My dad gave me the old 4DTV receiver since he went to Dish network.

I have some question on 4DTV and Fortech Star Ultra Receivers.

1. Can the 4DTV be used as a slave and my new Fortech is the master?

2. If so yes, how good is the FM video receptions in the 3 foot dish world KU band only?

I am not worrying about 4DTV channels since they are all scrambled on the KU band and I just want to get analog FM video feeds for DXing fun.

A 4DTV will not work properly on a ku band only system. It can only download its maps from a c band satellite.
