question? what does default mail client not properly installed mean? not to smart with computers..regards

Most likely you clicked on a mailto:... link.
It attempted to launch the application assigned to handle email. Outlook would be one example (and default when installed and not overwritten).

The complain most likely means you are using webmail instead of a dedicated application...
