So, I was on my acccount tonight, and it said Thanks for being a valued customer, or something.

So, it has 0.00 i was whats this, then my mom asks about On Demand, I say we need a HD DVR, so I check prices./

says 199.00 i say shoot, then show a red mark over the 199 and FREE under it, added it checked out and have a HD DVR on its way, had to pay a 50.00 service fee but no biggie.

Thanks DirecTV, truley the best TV company out there.

I encourage everyone to check there accounts online for ordering equipment. Alot of times lately online has had different offers then what agents do over the phone. So I would check both online and then call in if you cant find a deal you like. Lately the deals have been better online vs over the phone.

I should of mentioned that myself, as I called in and they had a different offer, so she said for sure to take the online offer, much better.

very cool.

Yes i can't wait to get it, and having a debate where to put it, Im thinking My Moms room, since it is mothers day, and should be here this coming week.

Also, for anyone who know, and I guess Stonecold would know best, when I deactivate my one receiver will they send me a box to send that receiver back? It is a reg SD Receiver.

Been a pain watching SD on a HDTV for my mom, looks ok, but HD is best by far especiallly with DirecTV.

Been almost a month and no recovery box for my hr24. I mentioned it to a car and she gave me a verbal shoulder shrug. It's holding down my Ottoman....My online offer is $99 for a HD receiver. Don't know if that's a good deal or not? Only been a sub for 3 months. Used to get all upgrades for free from E*, but was a longtime customer.

stonecold, I have 2 SD receivers, one is from DirecTV it self, when they installed, which is a d12-300, and the other is one i purchashed off ebay, which is d10.

Would it matter which to deactivate?

The D10 has a OTA tuner in it (I have one) so if you are using the OTA option in it, I'd keep that active

Checked mine today online and got a HDDVR being installed free along with DECA's for my receivers so I can get the supported version on Whole Home DVR along with the Directv Cinema kits for free this Saturday.

I have one last question, I am interested in Whole Home DVR, now Ive looked at the website, but havent called, so I wanted to post here 1st.

How much is the installation, and whats needed?

I can get the new HD-DVR for $99, I just checked it out online...thanks for the the tip :)

Mine gives me a price of $248 for 2 HD dvrs and 1 HD receiver. It lists the hddvrs for $199 each, HD for $99, setup fee-$300 and installation -$49. Somehow that adds up to $248. Lol

Okay now its changed:

Description Total HD DVR Receiver [?] remove $199.00 HD DVR Receiver [?] remove $199.00 HD Receiver [?] remove $99.00 Setup Fee $300.00 Shipping & Handling [?] Free Professional Installation [?] $49.00 Total Due at Checkout $347.00 Professional Installation [?] Your one -time costs. [?] Check Out Due at Checkout $ 347 00

Still seems like a good deal. Why is there a $300 setup fee but I'm not getting charged for it? That's almost $850 for $347?

I can get the HD-DVR (new one) + installation for $99.
Nice...

Had to cancel order as I relaized I need an extra line coming into each room. So called DirecTV they were great cancelled, and re-scheduled with same rate, actually was only 29.55 instead of 50 service fee.

And I think I have 2 coming, I have to double check tomorrow, they are coming Tuesday at 8-noon and can't wait.

Why an extra line into each room? My hr24 has just 1 into the pi and a cable into the hr24. Can't I just swap the sd's for hd's?

they said I needed 2 lines in, not sure they are correct or what, but they are coming tuesday with free installation, so Im not gonna complain. They were very very helpful.

You have an all SD setup right now? No swm?

no, I have 2 HD and 2 SD, Slimline LNB i believe, whatever that means, not to knowledgable on the dishes they give out.

They said when upgrading from HD to HD DVR i needed two lines from the satelitte dish.
