Only problem with that, is I like to see the other forums, they just arn't my priority when I come here, and are usually clicked on if I've finished catching up on the Dish stuff and want to browse something else. While you can not set the display order you can specify which forums you see.

Has the newsgroup thing always been there under the Pay Members area? Just reported some spam because I didn't realize what it was until afterwards... (came to the site via RSS)
It has been a Pub Member feature for a few months now, as many of the major ISP's have eliminated Newsgroups from their services, and a number of SatelliteGuys members have noted that they wish they could access the Dish Network newsgroup (DirecTV doesn't have one or we would carry it too) and so I added it as a pub member "thank you" features.
With the forum reshuffle this weekend I moved it out so that others could see that we offer this great resource.
Why bother ?Scott, why not add alt.dbs.directv?
I just took a look at it this morning (my ISP still does news server) and it looks pretty good, very little spam. Still gets about 2-4 posts a day.
I have been monitoring it and its dead. Only thing seen are Viagra ads.
I use to be active, but now is just a corpse of what was an active group.Okie-Dokie. I just glanced at it, reading what you wrote originally I thought there wasn't even a newsgroup at all.
Thanks! The "Thanks" feature was actually eating up a lot of CPU, when I turned it off the load went down by 25%. And that's why it is currently off.
