My DirecTV HD has worked fine for 2 years now. But this last week 95% of them do not work. It says "searching for satellite." There is no obstructions to the dish and the weather is fine. Any help would be great. Thanks

to Satellliteguys!What model of receiver/dvr and dish do you have? Can you post the signal levels for all of the satellites?
Receiver is H23/600. Slimline 5Lnb dish. Which transponder do you look at for the reading you want?

I meant all of the transponders on 99c and 103ca and cb, but with what you have posted, I'm guessing that your dish is out of alignment. If you can post all of the signal strengths, it would give us a better idea of what is going on.

It sure looks like an alignment is in your future! It's possible the mast is no longer plumb. Can you check to make sure it's secure and then to see if it's plumb?
Didn't you just have a bodacious amount of wind from the recent storm? The slimline dishes are like sails and really have to be locked down. Someone posted that D* is offering free service calls for alignment issues after the storm. I would certainly check on that.
I will check the dish. DTv can't help me at my location. Where I am its nearly impossible to find help aligning my dish. get back to you.
Thanks you kind Sirs.It was indeed a plumbing problem. We have had lots of crazy wind recently and one of the bolts was very loose. Thank you very much for saving Sunday football for me. Love this site, you guys are great.
FYI, your signal strength numbers should be at a minimum of 85. 90 and higher is better, of course!
