Lost HD channels on 110

My 921 shows no lock on any of the 110 HD channels. OTA and CBS-HD on 61.5 are fine as well all my SD channels. This happened about 2:27 CST and they are still not back. Same thing on my 6000. Anyone else having this problem?

Very strange! Did a switch check on both receivers, everything normal, but the signal strength on 110 was low. Five minutes later I lost the other 110 channels. Then they vanished from the guide. Then got errors 622 and 613 about mismatched switches on the 921. Now everything is suddenly back to normal on both receivers. Go figure! Guess I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed.

Shoot, gone again! Now I'm getting a signal strength of 0 on 110. Beginning to look like a bad connection somewhere. Any other ideas?

After further checking, signal strength varies with the transponder on 110.
1, 2 - 0
3 - 46
4 - 62
5 - 0
6 - 56
7, 8 - 0
9 - 46
10 - 0
11 - 55
12, 13, 14, 15, 16 - 0
17 - 75
18 - 0
19 - 83
20, 21 - 0
22 -46
23 - 0
24 - 48
25 - 95
26 - 46
27 - 106
29 - 83
31 - 88

I know that some of these are spotbeams that I don't get, but HBO-HD is on 13 and HDNET is on 7, so no signal for me. Does this pattern make sense to anyone?

Yeah - check your cables. I suspect you've got a piece of low-grade (non 2150MHz) or a bad F-connector.

Of course, with a dual-tuner box, always swap your feeds and see if the problem moves. ;)

Thanks for the response. All of the cable says 'swept for 2150MHz' or something to that effect. Since the problem was evident on both 921 tuners as well as a separate 6000 receiver and each with input from a different cable, makes me think that the connection from the dish 500 to the DP34 switch might be flakey.

About two hours after my previous post, I regained full signal signal strength on all the 110 transponders I pick up (most in the 112-125 range). So I'm happy for the moment, but concerned about a recurrence. Trouble is that the installer placed the switch under a second floor eave that is very difficult to get to and covered the connections with some kind of water proofing material, so not easy to check.

Makes sense that it's upstream of the DP34.

At least the switch is in a protected location - good move actually.

Good luck with finding the bad piece.
