Lost Cinemax for a penny today

I have not received any letter from Dish regarding the discontinuance of the $.01 Cinemax deal. My current bill is due tomorrow and my account shows only the last $40.95 Center Ice payment due for the next period.

My Cinemax channels have not been cut off as of tonight, so it appears the promotion is continuing. If they decide to insert a charge in my next billing, I will demand removal of the charges since I was never notified of the discontinuance of the promotion.

I had it for 1 year also, just before it ended I was having some problems with my recorder. I called and got a guy that helped me find the problem and we talked a few minuets about Dish, Tivo etc then he said looks like someone just renewed your Cinemax deal for another year. I said thank you and he said your welcome.

They took paperless billing off of mine (I didn't tell them to) and I still get free Cinemax. Told them to put it back on paperless because I did not want to lose the free Cinemax.

[FONT=&quot]I checked my January bill and they charged me for the penny deal. Received a letter yesterday that my deal was over and Cinemax was removed from my account. This morning the channels are still turned on, so I’ll see what the future holds. Even though I find little to watch on Cinemax, I’m not about to call and ask what is going on.

I finally got the letter at the end of the year. It stated that I would lose Cinemax "next month". Still going though ...

Looks like it might be extended for 1 more year for me...

on the front page of my Statement Dated: 01/04/2010

"We hope you have enjoyed the best variety of movies and top hollywood hits from Cinemax at the special promotion price of only a penny a year! The promotional period has now expired and Cinemax has been removed from your account."

but.... on the Detailed Activity section:
Jan 4th
One time Charges:
1 YR Cinemax Penny offer......$0.01

As of today... Cinemax is still on ..... the statement is for programming 1/19/2010 to 2/18/2010..... I will have to wait and see what happens on the 19th

Just received a letter today stating my promotion would end next month. Last penny charge for the one year was in October...

My Cinemax was cut off the week before Xmas. I received the 2 letters from Dish saying it would be ending. My account is bundled with Embarq (Century Link). When I received my bill it had the $.01 charge for Cinemax. I called the billing # on my Embarq bill and asked the CSR why it was cut off yet I was billed for another 1 yr period thru 1/2011. After talking with a supervisor, he said that there was some confusion - first it was going to end then they changed their mind. I told him I thought I was supposed to get it for the duration of my 2 yr commitment. He then said he would contact Dish and call me back. I said I only wanted it if it was still a penney for the year. When he called me back, he said it would be back on in 15 minutes. It's now on and all is good. Just hope the $12.99 is not on my bill next month.

They were removed this morning.

I had Cinemax for a penny for almost 3 years. In that time, I don't think I watched two movies on Cinemax . . not my cup of tea, and the soft porn is really tacky as well.

I paid 3 cents for those 3 years of Cinemax. Is there anyway I can get a refund??

Call a csr and demand it!!!

That should be loads of fun.:D

I received my letter yesterday that said the penny deal was over and that if I wanted to continue to receive Cinemax all I would have to do is add it back to my account. I deided that I don't want it for the full price so today I went online to check my account and guess what?? Contrary to what the letter said, the full charge for Cinemax was there. I got on a chat and had it removed, making sure I also didn't get hit with the $5 drop fee. The chat CSR says that wasn't supposed to happen.

So, check your accounts!!
