Loss of color on rewind?

Interesting little thing has been happening, and I'm hoping for some insight.
I got a 522 a few months back and have had no problems with it so far.

We moved last weekend and got a plasma for our main tv. the 522 is hooked up through s-vid to my yamaha 2400, which in turn upconverts everything to component and routes to the plasma.

since the new install yesterday, everytime i rewind, the picture goes black and white. i havent seen anything on this issue. the color restores itself when i go back to live tv. any ideas?

that is really strange, did u call dish about it?

This really does not sound like a Dish receiver problem. It may be a problem in the s-video to component upconvert from the Yamaha, or your plasma does not like the signal it gets from the Yamaha during rewind. Connect the 522 s-video directly to the plasma panel and see what you get.

yup! that was the problem. now i just need to figure out how to alleviate it. because i really do not wish to run a 10 foot s-vid up my wall. i didnt have them prewire it. any ideas?

<edit> also, it doesnt go black and white anymore, it goes purple, like if you unplugged one of the component cables </edit>
