Losing Power Question

i just lost power about hour ago why does mine HR34 need to refresh the guide? i thought its took two restated to refresh the guide? or it the HR34 different?

the guide refreshes anytime it reboots

I know when I do a restart (from the menus) the guide can be fully done or just partially downloaded until the overnight download. There is no rhyme or reason. I've lost some guide info when I do a reset for the OTA portion (when I've had the 750 error). I do a reset OTA and it downloads the guide real quick then after re-doing the OTA the guide downloads but not all of it

The double barreled reboot (2 rbr's) will always flush the whole guide.

i know in the past when i done reboot,its done different stuff, i not sure what am going to get

exactly. I dont worry about it until the next morning (after the guide refresh overnights)

Might I suggest solution to short power outages, if you have not already thought of it, get a small uninterruptible power supply. I have one on all of my DVR's, just the smallest form factor that I could find. It will just keep them going for about 25 or 30 minutes, but in short blinks, etc... it saves a recording that would otherwise be ruined.
