They do? Of most of the soccer fans I know, most of them support teams from other countries, namely Mexico. They support their MLS Soccer team.

And how many do you know in Toronto? or Seattle? or Portland? or Vancouver?
The truth is, MLS is on the verge of overtaking the NHL as the fourth-most popular professional sports league in the United States – if it hasn’t already.
In 2010, MLS average attendance was 16,675 spectators per game, a 4 percent increase over 2009. The NHL drew an average of 17,072 fans per game last season, a 3 percent drop from the year prior.
Among the largest crowds, the Seattle Sounders’ average of 36,173 MLS fans a game dwarfed the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, who drew an average 21,353 fans. The L.A. Galaxy also surpassed that figure, averaging 21,437. As MLS stadiums continue to expand and as the league continues to grow, so too should the league’s attendance numbers.
My bad. I thought we were talking about LA.And how many do you know in Toronto? or Seattle? or Portland? or Vancouver?

yaz96 said:or LA, even. See the attendance, they are 2nd on the list.
And I think you were talking about Hispanic folks, weren't you? Supporting Mexico.
Even being second is still way below that of other sports. MLS is simply not talked about.

Since the only justification for LA to have an NFL team is the size of the television market, I think that they should go after the smallest market team.
Introducing the Los Angeles Packers!
Will never happen. The current ownership structure prevents them from ever leaving. And if the team were ever sold, all proceeds have to go to charity, so there is no incentive to ever sell.Since the only justification for LA to have an NFL team is the size of the television market, I think that they should go after the smallest market team.
I just don't understand why they can't just renovate & modernize the Metrodome. They can install a retractable roof on the Metrodome just like Vancouver did with BC Place. they can play in TCF Stadium until the renovation is completed. When they repaired the torn roof,THAT was the perfect opportunity to install a retractable roof. I just don't understand the arrogance of the NFL & its owners in wanting brand spanking new stadiums in our very bad economy.
This might sound really really stupid but if the NFL gets an LA team, why cant they play at either the Rose Bowl or the LA Coliseum for now until they build a new stadium. I mean if they dont have a team because they cant build a new stadium, problem solved.
I mean didnt the Titans play in a college football stadium until they got there new stadium? Same goes for the Seahawks. Didnt they play at Husky Stadium until they started playing at Quest Field?
