Money people? The only "money people" interested in a deal like that would be AT&T people trying to unload a turkey they never should have purchased in the first place and haven't got a clue how to run, other than into the ground. (We really need a good laughing emoji).

Wouldn't that amount to merger of Dish and DTV? As I said, Charlie would want full control. I'm certainly not suggesting a merger of Dish and AT&T. Money aside, Charlie's far too smart to want any part of that rat's nest...

You seem think satellite TV is the only thing Charlie has going for him, although sat is still making good money. There's also Sling, and now the cell business to go with the 5G rollout. And then there's that little sister company down the road. Plenty to keep him busy beside the sat side...

I think Charlie was at the right moment and time to start Dish and unfortunately good things come to a end . He is shooting at 5g and I think he missed the boat the big 3 cell company’s will let him play ball for a little while than Dish will be thrown to the curb.

The only way I could see a Dish/DTV merger would be if Charlie Ergen had full control of the combined company. He would not agree to anything less...

yes it was a stand alone company before it was bought. i remember the days of DTV and USSB . thats when it was good now that att owns em it's an utter nightmare!!!

Roku is predicting by 2024 half of the country will have cut the cable . If that is true Charlie better sell Dish to att and ride off into the 5g sunset.
