Looking for a simple setup

I am looking to get directtv and dvr for one room.
For such a simple setup should I just go through directtv?
Any help would be appreciated. Please feel free to slap me if I completely overlooked a FAQ on here.

I can personally attest to the great quality of customer service that you will get at Value Electronics. You can even get the 80hr DTivo for $99 minus the 10% discount for being a Satelliteguys member. I would highly recommend them.

Also I would get the Phase-III dish which allows you to see 3 different satellite locations at once. You may need it for locals anyway.

Or contact a local dealer for their price, if you have one. You will also get a $50 rebate from Directv no matter where you buy it as long as you are a new customer. The rebate form comes with your first bill from Directv.
