68 uF, 450V, radial (round metal tube, 2 leads at bottom)

It's part of the power supply of a Microyal MRX-1000. I've not had any luck finding one locally. Anybody got some spares?

Alternatively, anybody want to volunteer to repair my box?

This supplier actually sells parts as "onsies" with no surcharge.

They can furnish a 47 Mfd 400 WV radial capacitor for $1.30 or a 100 Mfd 400 WV cap for $2.50.

FWIW: the failure rates of high voltage caps in switching power supply circuits, unlike those used in linear supplies, is extremely low. When I have replaced them on speculation, just because my time testing one is worth more than the time and parts cost of shotgunning them, it never fixed the supply. The switching semi-conductor and the overvoltage protector circuit are the most likely components to have failed.

I used Mouser to get the caps I used to fix my Dad's Minibook. (It was a victim of the Bad Caps fiasco from 4-5 years ago.) The only downside is they send this HUGE catalog twice a year. Fun to look through, but at over 1,800 pages, it's twice as big as our local phone book!
