Who said I was leaving. I just considering D*. And I don't really want a Hopper. I would have to pay for an upgrade for one of those and w/ locals here in SD on E* and HD on D* it is what is making on consider it. This is why I don't really "live" here.

Looks like I'm staying with Dish. All I gain is 3 channels (wife wants them more than me) and I lose my EHDs, I lose OTA tuners unless I buy an AM21 and that only gets me 1 OTA tuner (we do a lot of OTA recording), I have the aggrivation of learning all new channel numbers and a new interface, I only save $13/mo the first year then lose $2 the second - just not worth it to change.

Reminds me of that "$100 Club" commercial Dish is airing recently . Yeah on top of what you just said, the AM21 would also occupy a sat tuner when in use so not only would you lose the extra OTA tuners but you'd also have 1 less sat tuner than with Dish .
