Hi guys, i'm new here so if i posted in the wrong area "sorry"

here is my question.

i'm trying to look for FTA channel for my parents to watch, and i found a cantonese FTA channel listed on satmex 6 on tp 12084 TVB south america. and is KU2 band.
q1: So would i be able to pick up that satmex 6 and tp 12084 in new york city?
q2: What is ku2? there are more than one ku type of signal?
q3: Is a 90cm dish or a 100 cm with a linear LNB from Sadoun good to pick up that TP?.

q4:i do have a sv4000 with a 33inch dish currently aiming at galaxy 3c for CCTV4, would the sv4000 work for satmex 6 because i don't see satmex 6 on the satlist on the sv4000 menu.

hope you guys can help me out. Thank you

On Lyngsat, Ku 2 refers to the coverage map. When you click on that link, it shows an estimation of signal strength by location on a map.

Yes, provided that TP exists. You an not go wrong with a bigger dish.

If you can get CCTV from G3C, you could try pointing your existing dish at Satmex6 to try. I am not familiar with that receiver, but you ought to be able to add an entry for a new satellite or change an existing one to work.

Having said that, I can not pick up 12084 with my equipment in the southwest US, but the info in Lyngsat seems to suggest you might be able to.

EDIT:
Others have received what is listed on The List (The stuff in red is scrambled)

After looking at TVB USA's website, I see they do not offer instructions on getting their content on FTA.
