Is that like the recording that asks "can you hear me?"A recording that gives you the terms of the offer. You agree by saying "yes".

You have to agree to the new contract since you're not physically signing anything, so they record your agreementthat sounds a lot how my conversation went and I plan to call them back and move forward...what do you mean by "I did the IVR recording"
I think the Hopper 3 will cost you $15 a month. The Hopper 3 has more than just 4K capabilities. It also has 16 satellite tuners vs the 3 that your HWS has. You will never have recording conflict again. It also has Multiview giving you 4 channels on the same screen.Gotcha. Didn’t realize that’s what it was called.
Next question - will the monthly fees for the hopper or Joey increase when I upgrade from hopper with sling to hopper 3? Currently I think I pay $12/month now for locals and same for dvr fee. I thought I read that hopper 3 dvr fee was $15/month, is that right? If so, why is it more (just because it has 4K capability)?
Gotcha. Didn’t realize that’s what it was called.

YOU CAN DROP THE LOCALS NOW AND SAVEI just installed the dual OTA tuner and have kept my local subscription active while I'm shaking things out. My biggest issue at this point is one local whose broadcast tower is in a different quadrant of the metro area and I'm trying to find the sweet spot for the antenna to minimize the occasional drop outs. All in all I'm pleased with what I see and at this point I think I can get away with the limitations of recording. On the other hand I now have a Hulu subscription which came with my Spotify so I do have an out on conflicts with the local side I think. I was pleasantly surprised to find that we have 29 channels available with the dual OTA tuner so that's a nice plus.
I'm just about reaching the end of my latest 2 year commitment and have been concerned where pricing will be going. Currently have a Hopper 3 and a wireless Joey with the top 200 package and locals. Paying $99 monthly including the silver servicing plan. I'm probably going to drop locals at renewal time and seriously considering downgrading the current package to the top120+. Next cut if I have to make it will be dropping the Joey off the bedroom TV. I tend to fall asleep on it anyway!
Quite honestly the only thing keeping me with Dish right now is the fact that I've been a subscriber over 23 years, and I have an equipment investment with a Tailgater and receiver that I use when I travel. OTA service when camping is awful since digitization occurred and the Tailgater and 211z receiver work well on most trips. At home I have great Internet service so streaming is always an alternative, albeit with the lost of my portable service.
Curious whether I should wait for the end of my commitment (2 months) or whether I should pursue another agreement at this point? I'm getting credits for auto pay $5, locals $2, and DVR $5. Obviously my top 200 price is discounted $19 from the current list price.
I'm retired at this point so I'm trying minimize the hit I take when my agreement runs out in August.
Use the Channel Up and Down button to scroll thru the guide.A few things I have feedback on now that I’ve had my new equipment for a day.
1- I don’t like that they removed the page up/down from the remote. It was so much easier to scroll through the guide than having to keeping clicking one channel at a time.
2- The tech installed a power inserter right next to my hopper 3 in my AV cabinet, which was fine but dang the A/C adapter for that little thing is about 10x the size. It’s ridiculously big. Why in the world does the a/c adapter need to be so big for this? I don’t have a lot of extra space in that cabinet and I surely wasn’t planning for that big ol brick to be in there.

I missed something. You have 1 Hopper, not 2, right? I don't know why you need a power inserter as those are for 44 or 42 Switches. The power inserter for the OTA isn't very big, so I'm confused.Sweet! I didn’t realize that.
Got any answers to this monstrosity of a power adapter for that little power inserter?
Maybe he has DP+ LNBs and needs the 42 switch for hybridization.I missed something. You have 1 Hopper, not 2, right? I don't know why you need a power inserter as those are for 44 or 42 Switches. The power inserter for the OTA isn't very big, so I'm confused.
