Quick question, I would like some input from anyone who has ever tried running RG-6 Quad 250' on a free to air system with an sg-2100 motor.
One of my friends bought a system (fortec ultra, sg-2100, patriot 90cm dish).
He lives in a condo on the second floor of a seven story building. The building owner is a friend of ours and we have permission to use a non-penetrating roof mount for the dish.

However, the cable will have to run approx. 250'. At this length will the diseqc commands still get to the motor accurately? Will the motor have enough voltage to move the dish?

I have set up a few of these motors. but never on this much cable.
Thanks, trucker :)

Should be no problem with RG6 Quad Shield, whatever you do don't be tempted to add an in-line amp. Please let us know how it all goes. Thanks!
