Logging in,stoopid question

Just wondering why we have to check a box to stay logged in ? Shouldn't that be automatic?
If you don't check the box you're randomly being thrown off and have to log back in again.
By the way the current log in is the best it's been for months,for quite awhile it took like 6 or 7 clicks just to log in.

Think of it this way, if you log in at a common work computer, or at the library, and forget to log out..... Anyone using that computer after you will be you when coming here. The default should not be stay logged in...

Yep, Bobby hit it on the head, many reasons you would not want the default to keep you logged in forever. You just have to check that box once.

Well it would be nice to use a public computer and not have to log in several times during the session

If its doing that then their software is constantly cleaning up cookies. Nothing we can do about that even if you clicked the stay logged in button.
