Locking on 83W

Is 83W hard to get? Is it a weak sat or something?

I can pick up all sats across the arch, but can't get more than 30 quality on 83W. There is a tree that is sort of close, but eye balling it behind the dish, it looks like there are no issues.

Just curious if it is for sure the tree, or if it might be weak.

What TP are you referring to? The feeds on there are pretty strong but RTV is weaker.

I get 91-92 quality in Illinois. I used to have issues with RTN 66-67 quality, but they apparently increased their signal. It comes in very well now. I would look for obstruction issues.

I recieve 83W S95/Q90 with my 36". Everything is good right now.

that sat has a very very strong signal for me down here, RTV is probably the strongest channel I get on all Ku Band.
That tree might be the culprit of your problems

That is the one I was trying. Must be the tree.

It is weird because it really looks like it is clearing it, but it must be enough to just throw it off.
