Locals on Conus.

EA is an all MPEG4 service that is available to subs on the East Coast. It is doubtful that Dish would activate EA for a sub on the West Coast. 61.5 in this area is not a wise choice anyways as it points right above the horizon. You will be subject to rain fade/fog fade, etc. once the winter hits. Trust me I have a 61.5 dish. Your best best is to get a dish 1000. You are eligible for Sacramento channels. Once installed you can try "moving" to one of the bay area markets. You should fall within the limits of the spotbeam. Doubtful you will be able to get East Coast channels unless you go through ADD and give them an eligible address on the East Coast. "Technically" according to FCC digital regulations, you are not allowed to timeshift to a zone that allows you to watch programming earlier than the zone you live in. One reason Dish got in so much trouble. I'm not saying it is right or wrong, just the regs.
