The July 10 Uplink Report says that many area Locals in HD were made available . I waited as recommended by Scott to request a wing Dish for 61.5. However, the DIRT team says they are still not available on DISH's computers for Lubbock, Tx. Is any other area having the same problem problem in getting their locals in HD that the report said was available?? f so, how long can it take to get these channels??

Dish turned on a lot of markets on the Eastern Arc, but they may not be ready to switch the market yet. New installs already scheduled could be put in with EA, but they may be switching markets one at a time to keep the call/work volume manageable.

Why say available if they are not . Seems like a dumb way to report things. I understand if they are uploaded and NA that you might or might not get them. However, once they are made available you should be able to get them. Do the folks who have the 61.5 dish get them and they are just not letting the rest of us without the 61.5 dish get them without paying to get our own wing dish. It seems like a terrible way to do business.

They are available if you are in that market and point a dish at those satellites. But, that does not mean Dish is ready to come replace your dish for you, if you put in your own dish it will work.

I you must have them right now, you can install it yourself and you will get them. You are confusing the information given from this site, with anything official from Dish. As reported here, those locals are now uplinked and technically available, nothing more. Dish has to make the decision when they offer anything they sell.

Thanks for resolving my confusion. I have been told by others in Lubbock who have 61.5 that the channels are there. I guess I will have to wait for Dish to offer them to the rest of us who don't have the 61.5 Dish. I think I will send an email to CEO as some have suggested and see if they will turn them loose for me.
