Locals die out after certain time??

hi,
im in the nyc metro area.. and i've noticed almost every night when im watching a local channel, that at least 3 of them completely shut off(black screen). Why is this happening? It just tells me that there's no signal to those channels, but before it goes out it works ok for the most part(besides the occassional reception garbage)

the signal is too low. Probably multipathing. You might have the wrong type of antenna. It might not be orientated correctly. Here this site will tell you the type of antenna you need.

i have the stealth antenna that came with the installation, what category does that fall under? (sorry im a newb)

which channels? I heard that since the combiner is being worked on there are a few OTA stations in NYC that will stop transmitting after a certain time at night time.
