Local HD Channels lost since HR20 SW release on 7/23

I couldn't find an answer specifically on this that was already posted so someone please point me to the right thread.
I have called Directv twice since the latest software release I received on 7/23 for the HR20. The problem is that my local HD channels are blank since the upgrade. I have been told this a known issue and it will be fixed with the next release. Of course, they can't tell me when that is. Usually when I have system issues I can find some reassurance on this site that others are having the same issues and frustrations. This time I'm wondering if it is an assumption on Directv's part. They did say that I might also have issues on other HD channels. And I did see others having issues on this site. However, I'm not and it is just the HD locals. Is anyone else having this exact issue ? The screen is just gray on both my HR20's HD locals. The SD and OTA's are fine.

Don't know why you're having this problem, I have two HR20-700's and do all the CE releases and I haven't seen this. What you could try to do is go through the OTA setup again, put in a different zip code out of your viewing area so you get a different set of channels, and then do it again with your zip code and see if that helps. If not maybe the complete reset all function, but that wipes out all your recordings, series links and other settings.

Not a local zip code, something out of your local area so the data base of the ATSC local's get's reset. And you need to do this in the OTA Antenna setup, not the dish pointing setup.
 
Ah. OK.

So it sounds like a coincidence that both HR20's are experiencing the same thing then.
Since it happened on both my HR20's, I was hoping others might have mentioned this in my locale.
I'll try an out of market zip on one of them to see if it corrects the problem for that box.

Also, not sure if it would mean anything, but about a month prior to this, my HD locals did not seem to get a consistent signal. I attributed this to summer weather. In years past though, it hadn't been an issue. I've had these receivers since they came out. Just thinking it may be temporary, I dealt with using the OTA signals and back to viewing SD channels since I had hidden them. Then around the 23rd of July lost the HD locals altogether and decided to call.
