When will the local HD channels be available for the Michigan area?

You mean on Spaceway? Depends where in Michigan you are talking about.

Detroit? Should be in the first batch in 2005.
Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo? Being market #39 they might squeeze into the second batch in 2005.

Everywhere else is too small and would be in 2007.

And of course that is if your local stations actually do HD and assuming everything goes according to plan with the new sats.
