Ok, so this STB is a pain in the ass right off the bat! I'm sorry, but the menu needs improvement!

There is one problem giving me good reason to sell this thing back. One of my locals scans in but when I tune in to watch it, it says "channel info has changed, check your dish" blah blah.

I don't understand this. Anyone else have this issue? It's WPTV if anyone is curious.

remove the channel (delete it)
switch off receiver on back and then back on

rescan in channel...that usually does to trick. I had it happen on my local CBS (WCCO Minneapolis)

Thanks Ice, I'll try.

Sorry I sound so anal about it but geesh...this thing is built for eye patchers! The sorting of the channel numbers blow too.

If I use the "FAV" button I have less issue with sorting, I've learned. It's still not perfect, but it's a lot better.

What Firmware do you have? I put on the latest and a lot of the things that made me want to throw the box against the wall went away.

Then again, if you're using the new 2025a firmware, sometimes deleting the channel puts the receiver in a multiple reboot mode that eventually ends with it clearing it's memory so you have to reprogram it completely. {as I just posted about yesterday}. I wish that there was one of these DVB-S2 receivers that didn't have some bug.

I'm using 2025a which is the latest. I'm thinking of calling Coolsat myself to tell them about it and get it fixed. (The sorting issue) My DTV problem is fixed.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone here on the board had the knowledge to re-write the factory software for hobbyists? That's a pipedream.
