LNB Question

Pardon the dumb question but I want to clarify something before I spend the dollars. I looked around and think I have an idea of what I need so here goes..

I've got a spare dish 500 sitting in the garage that I want to aim at 129.

I've got a D500 now into a DPP-44 so the question is.. I can only put a DP lnb into the 44 and have it work..correct? I've got a couple of old legacy LNB's with the dish.. but the way I am understanding what I'm reading .. they won't work with the 44.. I've got to buy a Pro LNB.. so can I just buy a Pro dual and
attach it to one side of the LNB arm and have it work ok?

Yes!

For more gain get the "I" adaptor.

A DP twin will work also if you have one.

Yes, but to avoid various issues, cover the 110 eye of a Twin with foil before aiming.

DP switches require DP LNBs. (Rare case when using a legacy dual FSS LNB - very rare and unpredictable if they move channels around between even/odd transponders)
