I have had my hughes system for about three years now. I started having signal problems the last few days. I have had no severe weather. I checked azmith and elevation per the zip code on setup menu. I was off 5 degrees so I changed it. no luck.

It rains a lot here in oregon so I thought I might have moisture in the cable or connectors so I change them all out. I started to have a signal on one transponder so I thoght I was home free. However when I change channels from say local channels to Fox network I get a searching for signal. But if I go right back to the last channel I get a pefect signal.

So My question is, Is my LNB failing and should I replace it. $52.00 at Radio Shack.??

I can't say for sure If your LNB is failing, But Walmart sells the regular LNB's for $36. Unless you have the triple LNB. Just to let you know. Happy New Year !
