The "Press Select For Live Scores" feature recently added should be renamed "Permanent 4:3 Mode" for my VIP612. Upon exiting it's stuck in the 4:3 mode even though it is outputting 1920X1080i video. It takes a reset to correct it.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but it is a known software issue. Exiting any interactive app can cause the picture to show in 4:3 format, and the format button does not work. Resetting the receiver will get it back to normal
4:3 was good enough for your parents, and your parents parents, it isn't good enough for you??
It would be more than good enough if I could watch Howdy Doody, Uncle Miltie, Jackie Gleason, Captain Video, Rootie Kazootie, The Buster Brown Show and all of the good old shows that were on when I was a kid.
Is there any way to turn off the "Press Select For Live Scores" feature. It really bothers me when it pops up.
When I first saw the live scores option and tried it I thought it was pretty cool,but after it kept popping up 10 times per hour I quickly grew tired of it.Had to disable the enhancements.Once or twice during a game would be sufficient.Hopefully Dish will change how it works.
Why can't the "enhancements" just be displayed over the proper size 16:9 HD picture? 4:3 needs to be gone....completely.
