So Real Madrid were able to get things back on track against Sevilla, although I didn't think the referee will have earned himself many friends in Seville.

It was a good team display from Madrid, which was probably the most pleasing thing for them. Are Lopez Caro's tactics going to pay off?

What they have to do now is aim their sights at Valencia and Osasuna, and go for second place. Barca's lead is huge and although they will be without Eto'o for a month when he plays in the African Nations Cup, they still have too much firepower to miss him.

Next up is Getafe - Espanyol, which on the face of things is not so attractive. However...they met in the Cup just a week ago and Espanyol went through following a thrilling tie. They won 1-0 in Getafe and it was a 3-3 draw in Montjuic.

Lets hope for more of the same from 2 sides who need the points to forget any fears of relegation.

Players to watch, Tamudo and de la Peña for Espanyol and Riki for Getafe, who have a new signing called JaJa...

I managed to catch bits & pieces of this match...each time Getafe was taking to action to Espanyol. What a pummeling!
