Can you tell me what powers yours?
I looked it up, it uses a 12v power adapter. Amazon.com

Ebay Item number 126481274955 that numb posted and if you look at the ad title it says 8GB DDR4? About half way down the page it says 6GB DDR4 RAM in two different places???

And the ad says that the 12v port is a headphone jack port?? WOW!!

Think I'll wait until numb gets his and then maybe we'll know exactly what it is.

Just saying.................

The N4000 cpu is similar in performance to my old laptop's N3700 and should be fine. Something I ran into with my Linux install though, was the scan_tuner.pl failing to upload its data with the following error after a reboot. I guess some necessary OS service was slow to start up. I fixed it with a sleep command in the crontab.

====
....
Checking if web page got results ok
403 Forbidden
trying to run /usr/local/bin/hdhomerun_config FFFFFFFF scan /tuner1/
...

====

$ crontab -l

reboot sleep 60; /home/ron/tvdx/scan_tuner.pl

After a FedEx shipping delay, the mini PC arrived yesterday. I can confirm that the following are included:

A/C adapter;
HDMI cable;
mounting screws

After using this PC for several days, I've noticed it seems to shut down on its own after a couple of hours, even with Sleep turned off. I'm not sure if it's overheating or what. I think I'm going to return it.

Put on fan blowing on it, and see if that helps. Maybe even an old laptop cooler if you have one. Even if it does, I'd still return it while you can.

I am still a big fan of just running this on a Pi. I have built 4 of them. They just run and run, use little power, don't need much airflow. Instructions on the site are pretty simple.

Well??? How is that mini pc doing now? Did you figure out what causes the random shut downs or are you still working with it?

Just asking....................

Question: If I want to put up a second antenna pointed in a different direction, how do I go about combining the two? Is it as simple as a splitter in reverse?

Will it be another UHF antenna? Or a VHF?

I have only ever combined one of each.

My current antenna is a UHF/VHF combo pointed southeast towards Baldwin county where the transmitters for Mobile/Pensacola are. I'm wanting to point another UHF southwest towards Mississippi. And maybe a third pointing north eventually if I have good results with the second.

Mrs Pepper mentioned recently that I tend to get obsessive about things, I have no idea what she's talking about.

I'm not an expert on multiple UHF antenna setups. There are others here who can make suggestions, like primestar31 :)
You can buy a device called a "Smartkom". I have one, and it'll combine 3 antennas into a single downlead. Televes SmartKom 531981, "Rotor Killer" Antenna Combiner/Preamp

Well worth the money. You can filter and level signal results, move channels to different antennas, (whichever receives the one you want best) lock out another antenna from receiving a station another antenna is already receiving, etc.

OR, IF you are using SiliconDust network tuners that work with an app, you can simply buy multiple SD tuners, hook each one into a different aimed antenna, and they'll all in effect combine into a single guide with the app that you access with a Roku or Firestick, etc.
