You don’t even need a Roku; they stream the channel live on their website, too. So does The Country Network (TCN) which is country music videos 24/7
This is all well and good if you have a TV with a full-featured web browser but otherwise, you either need a specific TV app or an outboard streamer like the Roku to view it on a TV.
When announcing new streaming channels, I suggest that it should be noted whether or not the channel in question requires some manner of authentication.
I also note that the Heartland website live stream was off-line as I typed this post.
For the other >99% of the population, they use a streamer (either in the TV or external). Last I checked, the penetration of MMPCs was in the tens of thousands while there are tens of millions of streamers.

It is only "fact" that you don't need an ATV to watch iTunes on your TV if you happen to be one of the 0.1%-ers. For the other 99.9%, it is fiction.
