Limiting the number of saved episodes??

Is there a way to set my DishPasses on the 942 to only keep up to a certain amount of episdes ala Tivo? I set one show for a pass and it records it incessantly, erasing many other things and filling up my HD> I would like to set it to save only, say, the last three recorded episodes of one show.

Is there a way to do this?

My 508 lets me protect recordings, you should have a similiar option, once protected the dvr won't erase it to record other things.

You can tell it to protect it before it records it.

Otherwise I'm not familiar enough with the new dvr to help any further.

Select your DISHPASS timer then select options and you will find where you can set "MAXIMUM RECORDED EVENTS"
