My boss was looking for a new TV for her office that she could mount on her wall, and since I am the company gadget guy she asked me to find her something good.
Not knowing much about Plasma and LCD TV's I did a lot of research and boiled it down to a few models. After I did this I went and actually saw the televisions and fell in LOVE with the LG 32LX1D LCD TV!
It had all the features we were looking for including Cablecard support and a wide array of inputs, IEEE 1394, HDMI, DVI PC input and more.
After seeing this I wanted one, and it was on sale at Circuit City. I told the sales guy I wanted one and he went to his computer and told me this TV was out of stock for 3 or 4 weeks.
I was disapointed and I was going to go search for who had this TV, then I remembered Robert from ValueElectronics offered us a great deal on the LG TV's here, so I called him up.
Robert was very easy to deal with I told him what I wanted and he named me a price including our special SatelliteGuys Discount. This price was MUCH lower then the Circuit City price and INCLUDED shipping!
Anyways the TV came in and alls that I can say is WOW!
The picture on this LCD TV is the best picture I have EVER seen from a LCD Monitor and its nice and bright too, which is very important because of all the windows in the office.
It also had a few more features that I was not expecting including a build in memory card reader so I could view photos from my digital camera on the screen. And these photos LOOKED GREAT! It also allowed me to listen to music off my memory card as well!
I don't care much for the built in TV Guide it has, just because it is slow to populate.
The rest of the settings in TV were a snap for me to setup. I am use to the menus as my Zenith 32 Inch HDTV in my bedroom are the same. (LG makes ZENITH sets now)
I dont have cable TV in my office so to get a signal I used a PAPER CLIP in the antenna jack and did a channel scan. I was AMAZED to pull in 18 channels some of which were Digital Channels. I was able to view HD programming off of some soap opera on CBS. The picture looks GREAT I am really shocked at how good this TV looks.
My sons TV in his room died the other day. (It was a 27" RCA that we had for YEARS (It was RCA's first model that had picture and picture built in!) I am thinking of giving him my Zenith and want one of these baby's instead.
Thanks goes out to Robert at ValueElectronics for the quick service, excellent price and for going out of the way for SatelliteGuys members.
